During a time when I felt isolated, misunderstood, and weighed down, you created a space where I felt safe, heard, and human again. I just wanted to thank you for all your help these past two semesters. This was my first year at university, and I really appreciated the support and compassion you showed me. I vividly remember when we first met last summer, you said, "I am here to support you." Those words have stayed with me and meant a lot to me. Yesterday was the last day of my bachelor's degree. I finished my dual degree program. I say "I" but without you and your help, I wouldn't be here. Thank you so much for helping me. You are the reason I was able to finish my program and even attempt to get into a graduate program. I want you to know you are an exceptionally important person in my life that actually heard me and gave me help. If I do anything in life, you have a huge credit in it, since you helped me get there. What you have told me has affected me greatly and whenever I need it, I will revisit it in my mind. Those sessions are some of the safest moments for me. Thank you for them!

Lauren went above and beyond to help me, comfort me, she was very personable and professional and she really made a positive impression on me. It has been such a difficult time for me and it’s so assuring to know, some people who hold such vulnerable jobs can really make such a difference.
