How the Quiz Works

This quiz uses a simple scoring method so you can get a clear sense of your child’s readiness right away.

For each question, choose the option that best describes your child and keep track of the points value. Each answer is worth:

  • 2 points for a strong skill

  • 1 point for a developing skill

  • 0 points for a skill that needs support

At the end of the quiz, you will add up your points to find your child’s score out of 14.

Your score will place your child in one of three categories:

  • 12 to 14 points: Ready to Launch

  • 7 to 11 points: Getting There

  • 0 to 6 points: At Risk for Struggle

When you reach the final page of the quiz, you will be taken to a results overview where you can read the full description for each category.
